We connect families to critical services, including living supplies, legal aid clinics, and affordable housing solutions. We provide tailored guidance to help families navigate complex systems efficiently.
Eligibility
Available to families facing systemic barriers or experiencing financial hardship in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Referral Process
Services can be accessed through direct contact with our outreach workers or referral by partner agencies.
The Foundations Program offers comprehensive support to individuals facing challenging life situations, particularly those affected by family violence or other forms of abuse. It provides advocacy, practical problem-solving, and community connection to help families thrive.
Eligibility
Open to parents and caregivers residing in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Access
Workshops can be accessed by contacting our outreach workers. No prerequisites are required.
We provide expecting mothers with essential baby items for the first year, including clothes, toys, and more—helping save approximately $200 in expenses.
Eligibility
Newcomer moms or moms facing financial hardship.
Restrictions
Each family can request one basket per newborn, within the first five months of the baby's life.
We teach newcomers how to manage finances, build credit, and avoid fraud, offering one-on-one coaching and delivered in Arabic and Somali. This program is offered in partnership with Empower U.
Eligibility
Primarily newcomers who have been in the country for less than four years. Also open to elderly individuals and housewives needing financial literacy skills.
